Atala (flour soup)
Atala (or Suma sum) is required for women who just gave birth to a child. It helps to soften intestines, as after the delivery most of women suffer from constipation. So every uzbek mom, surely cook this meal for their daughters and daughters-in-law the day of their delivery:)
You can cook it in water or in milk, I usually cook in milk:)
For 3 people you will need:
3 tbsp of plain flour
500 ml of milk or water
25 gr butter
Salt as taste
First boil the milk, set aside. Then take pan, melt in butter and fry all flour until light golden. Fried flour will turn to crumbles. Remove from heat, add in milk and quickly stir until no crumble is left. Again put on a fire and let it simmer until it thickens, and until the bubbles are heavy. Add in salt to your taste. Serve in bowls:)
Yoqimli ishtaha!
