Haplamalik pechenya (Biscuits with "Haplama")
This recipe of biscuits is nice for breakfast, as it is nutritious and tasty. Besides they will help you to be strong. I love take them to work also, I enjoy them with hot cap of green tea:) Yummy!
Ingredients:
Make 2 dozen of "Haplama" as in recipe (december 2009)
For biscuits:
200 gr of butter (chilled)
250 gr of sugar
2 egg yolk
1 tsp of baking powder
Half tsp of baking soda
Pinch of vanilla or 1 tsp of vanilla essence
Plain flour as needed
Cocoa powder or icing sugar for sprinkling
Grate chilled butter, add in sugar and egg yolk and stir carefully with a spoon. Add in baking soda and powder, then vanilla, again stir well. Add in flour gradually until you form a medium hard dough. Cover it and put in a fridge for 1 hour. After divide in 24 piece and roll out them trying to make the same flat rounds. Or you can just roll half of the dough at ones and cut out circle shapes. Then repeat it with the rest. Bake your biscuits in preheated oven until slightly golden. Take them out, let cool. After, slightly brush each circle with honey and put one "Haplama" in the middle, then cover it with another half. Sprinkle with cocoa powder or with icing sugar and enjoy:)
Yoqimli ishtaha!!!
